How Childline participated in this Year's Day of the African Child - Celebrations - 16th of June

Childline Botswana social worker O. Mbazo participated in this year's celebrations of the Day of the African Child in Artesia, Kgatleng District, Botswana. It is a yearly event celebrated throughout Africa to honour Africa's children and youth, which dates back to the student uprisings on the 16th of June 1976 in Soweto, South Africa.

The event was attended by amongst others dikgosi, councilors, non-governmental and governmental representatives. Childline Botswana had a stall where we exhibited our material and shared experiences with the community.

It was a wonderful experience in that we managed to reach more children and community members who still were not clear about our services and role.
